TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana State University announced Thursday their pick for Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Maribeth Stevens has been appointed as the new Vice President for Enrollment Management. Stevens’s tenure will begin effective November 25. Stevens has a wealth of experience in higher education administration, according to ISU, which made the organization choose her as their new Vice President. ISU states that they believe this experience will help create a strategy to attract new students and support them through graduation.
“Filling the Vice President of Enrollment Management role was a priority for me,” said Indiana State University President Mike Godard. “We sought a leader who understands the complexities of higher education, prioritizes student success, and brings a wealth of knowledge in recruitment and strategic growth. Maribeth embodies these qualities, and we look forward to the positive impact she will bring to Indiana State University.”
Stevens recently held the same position at Wittenburg University, as well as multiple roles at Saint Leo University, and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Bowling Green State University. During her previous tenure, Stevens exceeded new student enrollment targets multiple times, increased graduate student enrollment, and grew international student enrollment by nearly 89%.
“I am incredibly excited to join Dr. Godard’s leadership team at a pivotal moment in Indiana State University’s history,” Stevens said. “As a proud public university graduate, I am eager to return to public education to advance Indiana State’s mission and positively impact the social and financial trajectories of our future students and their families for generations to come. I would like to express my gratitude to President Godard, Provost Olsen, and the search committee for the time and energy they put forth throughout the search process and for entrusting me to lead the Division of Enrollment Management. I look forward to joining the Terre Haute community and collaborating with faculty, staff, alumni, and students in developing a comprehensive enrollment strategy to recruit the next generation of Sycamores.”
