TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Catholic Charities Christmas Store has announced dates for families to register for Christmas Store shopping.
Any families in Vigo County must register in person at the Christmas Store at 1440 Locust Street to shop at the store this holiday season. According to Danielle Elkins, the Program Director for the Catholic Charities Christmas Store, registration is still open October 31 from 4-6 p.m. and November 1 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
To register you must provide a photo ID for anyone in the home over 18 and at least a Birth certificate, social security card, or health insurance card for anyone under. Elkins says that masks are required for individuals shopping for the safety of staff, clients, and volunteers. The head of the household will then receive their assigned shopping date after registration is complete.
The Christmas house allows the head of the household to come in and secure new clothing, for each individual in the household, toys and age-appropriate gifts for minors, personal hygiene products, and household items to take home and wrap for Christmas Day.
