TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— This evening Indiana State University hosted an event to help students explore Korean culture and education.
“International Symposium on Korean Education System and Culture” was hosted at the Cunningham Memorial Library. The event highlighted education in Korea, its rich culture, and the contribution to engagement efforts between East Asia and Indiana State University.
Throughout the event, several educators gave presentations about curriculum and culture. Organizer Yong Joon Park says this event was held to give people the chance to get to know each other.
“I think that in terre haute we still need to have cultural diversity, i think that’s an important thing. Get to know each other so we can have a better town and get towards understanding each other.”
