This event is always held on the fourth Saturday of September, giving families various activities to do.
It’s an event that brings together vendors from all across Vigo County to provide different types of activities to families for whatever that looks like for you. We have events for activities for kids, adults, all of the above.

For the 30th anniversary, the library put on their biggest event yet.
They had more than 50 organizations participating. This included new additions to the day such as henna painting and animals.
There’s absolutely something for everyone. We have all different kind of organizations from different Indiana State University groups. We have the Swope here, which is for people of all ages. We’ve got everything.

Family Learning Day also features visits from Terre Haute community organizations such as the Children’s Museum.
The library says they put on this event to showcase all the options this community has to offer.
We put on an event like this so that we can all be together as one community. We want to show our different community members the different opportunities and options that we have available for our community.

The rain held off just long enough for Family Learning Day to be outside and the library says the 30th anniversary was a success.
