CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Wings By the Wabash Air Show takes place this weekend at the Crawford County Airport in Palestine, Illinois.
The event will be Saturday and Sunday, with the gates opening at 9am and the show starting at 1pm.
The event will feature a wide variety of aircraft and performers, which you can see a full list of here: https://www.wings-by-the-wabash.com/
As the airport continues to rebuild after last year’s tornado, this event is a celebration of how far those efforts have come. The event also helps introduce people to the industry of aviation.
“The importance of the air show locally like this is to celebrate that the airport’s here and for people to come out and enjoy aviation, and maybe become part of aviation,” said Air Show Director Mark Hermann,
The event will have free admission and free parking, but free-will donations will be accepted.
