TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — This weekend the Vigo County Public Library will host its 30th annual Family Learning Day.
Officials say this year’s event is bigger than ever with more than 50 organizations participating. They’ll provide families with various activities including games, music, arts and crafts.
There will also be some new additions like a visit from Indiana Jim and Python Pam who will bring their favorite scaly reptiles.
It’s Public Relations Manager Shaleena Barker said the library is all about helping and providing for this community.
“We provide access to different tools like books and computers and things that greatly help to improve people’s lives, however, that can also mean community connections,” said Barker. “Family Learning Day is an event where people can come together and create memories with not just their family but with different community members as well.”
The event will be on September 28 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the main library parking lot.
