PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A wreck occurred Wednesday on State Road 163 that ended with an arrest.
According to a release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, deputies, Parke County EMS, and Lyford First Responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on State Road 163 around 2:21 p.m. James Robert Renfro, 50, of Rosedale was driving a 2004 Ford Mustang westbound when he drove left of center and struck a 2018 Honda CRV head-on traveling eastbound, the news release states.
The driver of the CRV Mary Sloan, 69, of Clinton was taken to Union Hospital in Terre Haute for significant leg and lower body injuries, officials wrote. Renfro was booked in the Parke County Jail and charged with DUI resulting in serious bodily injury.
He is currently being held in the Parke County Jail on an $8,000 bond.
