VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that starting on/after September 18 two-lane traffic will be confined to the southbound lane.
This will take place on State Road 63 and will begin just north of State Road 234 and end just south of County Road 600 North. The reasoning for the lane closure is to allow crews to do a bridge deck replacement over the Vermillion River on the northbound lanes. The bridge replacement has already been completed on the southbound portion.
Work in the area is scheduled to last until the end of the year but could change due to weather conditions. INDOT encourages drivers to use caution while traveling through work zones.
