VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Summer is winding down and the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department is now gearing up for fall.
Natural Resource Programmer Heather Cosme Milian said the parks department had a great summer season with lots of fun programs.
While things have slowed down as families get back into the new school year, the parks department has a lot of things planned for October.
Cosme Milian says that includes a fall painting class, fall hay rides, and a silly safari show. Plus, the parks department will continue some spooky traditions for Halloween.
“We have some really great parks here and we get to do a lot of really cool programming. We get to do trick or treating and hayrides and spooky tours throughout our Pioneer Village that you wouldn’t get to do anywhere else,” Milian said.
Milian adds the parks department hopes these events give families a chance to enjoy the outdoors and the fall weather before winter begins. You can keep up with what’s happening at Vigo County’s parks here.
