TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A single vehicle ended up on its side this morning in the area of Robinson Place and Illiana Drive in western Vigo County.
At approximately 8:24 a.m. a single vehicle got in an accident. According to Sergeant Matt Ames of the Indiana State Police, a 70-year-old woman from Marshall was driving in the area when she failed to make the curve thus flipping the vehicle on its side. Sugar Creek Fire Department showed up to the scene and extracted the woman who was stuck in her vehicle.
No serious injuries were suffered to the woman though thanks to her wearing her seatbelt noted Sergeant Ames. The Indiana State Police want to remind everyone that wearing your seatbelt is the best way to prevent serious injury in situations like these. Police encourage making sure everyone, drivers and passengers, are properly secured before leaving.
