Number four is J. Ford’s Black Angus located at 129 South 7th Street. J. Ford’s opened October 16, 2007 by husband and wife Jeff and Kelly Ford. According to the website, J. Ford’s describes themselves as “Casual and Classy”. The restaurant aims to bring quality food, service, and spirits you’d only fine in larger cities and use their casual upscale atmosphere to continually bring creative offerings of current trends to Terre Haute.
Number three comes in as Bar Bosco located at 800 South 7th Street. Bar Bosco describes themselves as a old-school neighborhood bar and trattoria, which is an Italian-style eating establishment that is much less formal than a standard ristorante. They say that they serve authentic Italian food in a welcoming and stylish atmosphere. They also love to let people know that the pasta, bread, and gelato are all made in-house.
Number two is another Italian staple for Terre Haute, Piloni’s Italian Restaurant. Piloni’s is located at 1733 Lafayette Avenue. Piloni’s opened all the way back in 1946. Yelp lists Piloni’s as fresh and bursting with flavor is what they have to offer. The page goes on to say that they provide great tasting food that’s prepared fresh with the highest quality ingredients with great atmosphere, friendly service, and affordable prices.
The current ranked number one restaurant in Terre Haute is The Terminal. The Terminal is located at 820 Wabash Avenue and with 76 reviews maintains a four point 5 rating. According to their website, the owners Nikki and Cheyne also own another popular eatery, Charlie’s Pub and Grub which came in at number five on the list. On Yelp the business is described as a traditional public house with an emphasis on tasty food and quality drinks. The building was bought after sitting empty and as of 2023 has now been revitalized to stand up as one of Terre Haute’s best eateries.
