PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A motorcycle crash on U.S. 41 in Parke County resulted in the death of a Terre Haute man.
According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. 41 and County Road 200 W at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Saturday.
Investigating deputies learned that a motorcycle, driven by Joe N. Sexton II, 45, of Terre Haute, was headed southbound and was going too fast to navigate a curve causing the bike to leave the roadway and strike a power pole.
Sheriff Jason Frazier said the Parke County Coroner’s Office, Parke County EMS, and Rockville Fire Department assisted at the scene of the crash.
