TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)—In honor of the late Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse’s the Vigo County Sheriff Commissioners are asking flags be lowered.
Sheriff John Plasse died today at 60 years old after a battle with cancer. As a way to honor and remember Sheriff Plasse the commissioners are asking members of the community to lower their flags to half-staff. They ask that these flags remain lowered until the conclusion of his funeral services.
While there is currently no update on when the services will be held, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office says they will soon make announcements.
