TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Work is expected to be finished soon on a U.S. 41 project in Terre Haute.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has been resurfacing the highway on the city’s north side since early May.
Public Relations Director for INDOT’s West Central District Blake Dollier said the US 41 southbound ramp from Florida Avenue to Maple Avenue will be tentatively closed until Wednesday night, as crews finish milling and paving work.
Dollier says on Thursday and Friday, crews will work on the US 41 northbound ramp from Maple Avenue to Florida Avenue.
He reminds drivers to use caution in that area.
“What we’re asking drivers to do is remember this project is still going on,” Dollier said. “It may only be you know just a couple days away per se from being finished, but just remember that there are still workers out there and until that project’s completely wrapped up, it’s important to remember to buckle up, put your cell phones down and remember to drive distraction free throughout that work zone.”
Dollier adds that weather permitting, the project should wrap up in the coming days.
