TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – After the success of the rentable cabin at Fowler Park, the Vigo County Parks Department is expanding on this concept.
It’s now adding a rentable pioneer wagon at Fowler Park, as well as rentable cabins at both Hawthorn and Prairie Creek Park. Vigo County Parks and Recreation Superintendent Adam Grossman said he believes this success is because of how well these cabins fit our parks.
He said this is a great way to take a trip to the past with your family.
“You can bring your family and not have to worry about a camper and all the stuff you need to bring out to the park,” he said. “You can just walk into this cabin, step back, relax, and enjoy the parks.”
Grossman added that they plan to begin construction of these cabins in the fall in hopes that they will be done by next year’s rental season.
