PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Rockville woman has died after a crash left her entrapped in an overturned vehicle.
According to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, the crash was found at 10:56 p.m. on Wednesday in the Snake Holler area of U.S. 41. Investigating deputies said a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic was found overturned in a ravine near the roadway.
Deputies said the driver, Loretta Marie Richardson, 62, was found already deceased. She was the vehicles only occupant.
Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, the Parke County EMS, Lyford Fire, Mecca Fire, and Rockville/Adams Township Rescue responded to the scene.
