TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Dancing with the Terre Haute Stars will soon be returning.
Tuesday night, Chances and Services for Youth held a kick off event to announce the local stars that will shine this October.
Tuesday’s night kickoff event was held at the Country Club of Terre Haute. The main event will include each star performing a two minute dance routine. The winner will be decided by which participant raises the most funds. Those funds will be donated to CASY to help benefit their youth programs and the development of a new childcare center on the east side of town.
Our very own Julia Prickett was announced as one of the many stars that will take stage and she will be performing the swing dance style.
“We started this in 2007 and with an idea we raised $33,000 our first year. And in the last couple of years we’ve been able to top $300,000. So, all together almost $3 million raised over the past 17 years,” Chief Operating Officer for CASY Brandon Halleck said.
This will take place at the Hulman Center on October 4th. For those unable to attend in-person the show will be broadcast live at 7pm on our ABC’s affiliate, WAWV.
