FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Several community newspapers will have new ownership beginning on July 1.
The Brazil Times, The Greencastle Banner-Graphic, The Greene County Daily World and The Shopper have been purchased by Paxton Media Group.
Paxton Media Group is a family-owned company, publishing nearly 120 community newspapers in the Southeast and Midwest, as well as related websites in each of those communities.
The former owners of the newspapers, Rust Communications, also announced the Rust Communications also announced this week the sale of the Dyersburg State-Gazette in Tennessee to Paxton Media Group. Rust Communications still owns newspapers in Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas, and Idaho.
