TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Local restaurant owners Kelly and Jeff Ford have continued a tradition that began in 2016 with a donation made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.

The couple, who own J Ford’s Black Angus in downtown Terre Haute, donated $1,500 to THHS. The funds were raised by collection donations at the restaurant’s coat check station.
The couple has been making these donations for eight years, and owner Kelly Ford appreciates her customer’s generosity.
“Thanks to our customers for supporting a great cause,” Ford said.
Humane Society Volunteer Coordinator Maggie Wheeler explained that the organization could not help the animals they do without donations like this from local residents and businesses.
“Without the generosity of the businesses and the individuals in the community, we can’t keep feeding our animals,” Wheeler said. “We can’t medicate them, we cant get them. You know we have to pay for all that stuff, and so donations like this cover our bottom line.”
