TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– One man was arrested after an investigation into missing animals in Terre Haute.
According to a release from the Terre Haute Police Department, an investigation begun after social media posts raised concerns on an individual stealing cats and “potentially using them to feed a snake.” The initial findings from the THPD investigation found Kevin Hollingsworth of Terre Haute was attempting to catch and release stray animals, and he did not possess a snake.
Shortly thereafter, THPD received a report of an animal being lured from its property, accompanied by video of the incident. Police say Hollingsworth has been arrested for theft/criminal conversion in connection to this report.
The animals in question have not been located at this time, and were reportedly released on the outskirts of city limits.
