CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: Illinois State Police have confirmed the roadway has been cleared and traffic restored.
Original: Two people were flown from the scene of a rollover crash that shut down both directions of Interstate 70 for a time in Clark County.
According to Illinois State Police, the wreck happened at 12:17 p.m. (CDT) at the 144 mile marker of I-70 westbound. The crash left an SUV rolled over and at least two people injured.
As of 2:15 p.m. westbound traffic was still shut down. Eastbound lanes were closed for a time as a medical helicopter landed and transported the injured people from the scene.
Police said no further information would be released at this time.
