WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Police in the city of Washington are investigating a robbery that resulted in one juvenile being shot.
According to the Washington Police Department, the investigation has already resulted in the arrest of five juveniles and one adult. The adult arrested was 18-year-old Edgar Pedraza.
Police said they are still searching for one more adult and two more juveniles involved in the incident. Police confirmed the shooting was not fatal.
“This is still an active investigation with further arrests pending,” Police wrote on Facebook. “The Washington Police Department would like to thank all shifts for their participation and assistance in this matter. We would also like to thank all citizens that provided information and businesses that provided video footage.”
Numerous agencies have assisted in the investigation including the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, Jasper Police, Indiana State Police, and the Knox and Daviess Juvenile Probation offices.
