TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Dozens brought their campers to Fowler Park to showcase them to the public.
Fowler Park welcomed people from near and far to set up their vintage trailers. There were many different shapes and sizes, with one even dating back to 1947.
The open house was from 10 a.m. to noon, but campers like Mychel Coratti will be in the park all weekend. He says it gives everyone an opportunity to share their story.
“It’s fantastic,” Coratti said. “You get people from different ages, there’s couples over there that’s 25 years old and there’s couples that’s 86 years old and just the passion of having something from the antique days and the good ol’ days and get away from all the cities and stuff like that.”
People filed into the campground to get a glimpse of the campers. The condition that they are in is truly remarkable.
