WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Three men have been arrested and are facing charges related to illegal drugs in unrelated events.
That’s according to the Washington Police Department, who said the arrests both occurred on Monday.
Police said the first arrest occurred at 6 a.m. after officers along with the DEA Task Force, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, and Indiana State Police searched a residence on County Road 50 N for narcotics.
The search resulted in police seizing seven firearms, approximately one quarter ounce of meth, a quarter of a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and prescription medications believed to be possessed illegally.
Police then arrested Logan Helderman, 32, and took him to the Daviess County Jail.
Later that night at 10:15 p.m., second shift officers pulled over a vehicle on Greenwood Street. A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up 226 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The stop resulted in the arrest of both the driver, Ryan Potts, 50, and the passenger, Chadd Gregory, 44.
Police said Gregory faces a charge of dealing methamphetamine, while Potts was charged with maintaining a common nuisance.
