FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A familiar face in the Wabash Valley has joined the WTWO/WAWV team.
Rick Semmler is coming to WTWO to continue to be a face in the community, with a primary focus of growing local businesses through advertising.
Semmler said he’s excited as the move will create a full-circle moment.

“I’m coming home,” Semmler said. “I started my career in Terre Haute in 2003 at WTWO and I’m excited to be returning. With my new job I believe I can reach out and help even more people in the Wabash Valley. I’m looking forward to a new adventure in sales, while still doing some sports. I can’t thank WTWO and GM Tim Sanders enough for believing in me and bringing me on board.”
While Semmler’s primary role will be with the sales team, he will be working on feature stories looking at the individuals behind the stats and telling their stories in the sports.
WTWO Vice President and General Manager Tim Sanders said Semmler will bring experience, knowledge, and community connections to his new role.
“Rick has always been a hard worker, you can tell that the community really loves him,” Sanders said. “I think Rick will be a great addition to our sales team.”
