VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – High schools in Vigo County held their graduation ceremonies on Sunday.
Seniors at West Vigo, Terre Haute North, and Terre Haute South walked across the stage and officially graduated. Vigo County School Corporation superintendent Dr. Chris Himsel says it took a team effort.
“It takes a village and we know that the kids do a lot of the work, but we also know it’s supportive families and some friends,” Himsel said. “It takes all of us to help our kids be successful through school. We are proud of the work of our kids, we are proud of the support that our parents were able to provide them.”
Now with a diploma, these students have the opportunity to make moments in their careers and future endeavors. Students like West Vigo graduate Cassie Roush say they learned a lot in high school.
“Enjoy your senior year,” Roush said. “It’s the last one you are going to get with most of these people. It’s going to be one of the best years of your life and you don’t want to be worrying about school too much and everything, but just enjoy the moments.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2024 from everyone at WTWO/WAWV.
