SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Wednesday afternoon, the city of Sullivan and the Red Cross partnered to hold a blood drive in city hall.
This gave the residents of Sullivan a chance, to give blood to those in need across the country. Red Cross officials said that numbers have been down recently, due to the severe weather as they had to cancel some recent drives in this area.
Sullivan mayor J.D. Wilson said he loves seeing how giving this city truly is.
“It is personally rewarding to see the people of Sullivan come in and give that blood and know that it is going to really produce results down the road because people need this blood,” he said.
Wilson said that the city plans to have multiple blood drives a year at city hall moving forward.
