CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A semi truck hauling frozen food overturned on I-70 just after midnight on Friday causing crews to shut down traffic for a period.
According to the Posey Township Fire Department, the incident occurred at the 24 mile marker of westbound Interstate 70. Clay County Dispatch confirmed the call came in at 12:52 a.m. on Friday.
Upon arrival, firefighters noted that the semi was blocking one and a half lanes of the roadway. The driver and a passenger were able to get out of the vehicle before first responders arrived. Officials said one man had a minor laceration on his knee, but both men refused medical treatment.
Westbound lanes were closed for approximately one hour while crews worked to upright the truck and trailer and clear the roadway.
