SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Sullivan couple has been arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent following an investigation by state police.
According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames, the investigation began on March 25 after police received a report from the Sullivan County Department of Child Services.
Police arrested Katelynn E. Stranger, 29, and Rai W. Stranger, 33, on May 16 as a result of the investigation. Police said the two had failed to provide proper care for a child in under their supervision.
Sgt. Ames reported the two were being held on an $8,000 bond with 10% allowed.
Both face a level 6 felony charge of neglect of a dependent.
Sgt. Ames thanked the Sullivan County Department of Child Services and Susie’s Place for their assistance in the investigation.
