TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Adventurous runners are invited to Griffin Bike Park this summer for the return of Catholic Charities’ Quick Quack Trail Run.
The event will be held on the morning of June 22 and helps raise funds for Terre Haute Catholic Charities.
The 5K obstacle course will include things like a floating bridge, ramps, and rugged trails as competitors scramble through the path on a quest for the coveted rubber duck trophies.
“We are thrilled to continue this event and bring the only adventure course to the Wabash Valley. Last year, we had great weather, a wonderful turnout and our racers loved the course,” Agency Director for Catholic Charities John C. Etling said. “Waddles, our mascot for the Wabash Valley Rubber Duck Regatta, will start the race and we look forward to cheering everyone on at the beautiful Griffin Bike Park!”
Organizers remind folks that due to the difficulty of the course strollers are not permitted to participate, and no bikes, or dogs will be allowed.
Cost to register is $30 per runner. Those who register by June 12 will be guaranteed an event t-shirt. Groups of 4 or more racers can receive discounted registration. Runners must be at least 11 years old to run the race on their own. Younger runners will be required to register with an adult and must run the race with them.
