TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Students from Terre Haute North High School gave pitches today on how they would suggest improving the city.
The topics were about things like the future of artificial intelligence and improving opportunities for small to mid-size colleges and universities.
The students were then evaluated by Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun, John Lotz of the ISU Career Center, and Jared Ell from the Indiana Small Business Development Center.
Students involved said they found their passion for entrepreneurship through their work in the class.
Brett Taylor the Business and Entrepreneurship teacher at THN said the program is about showing students how they can improve their environment.
“They are finding ideas, really growing their hometown,” Taylor said.
Students involved said they enjoyed being able to take a class like this where they get to do things outside of the classroom.
