FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — As the clock struck 6 p.m. Tuesday, the polls across Indiana officially closed on this 2024 Indiana Primary Election Day.
The polls opened Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. as voters across the Wabash Valley headed to cast their votes for their chosen parties either at vote centers or at their assigned precincts. This year’s primary election will determine who is nominated for the general election on November 5.
One of the primary focuses for many voters in the Hoosier state is the race for nominee to become Indiana’s next governor. With current Governor Eric Holcomb on his way out the door due to term limits, the field is wide open on the Republican side to determine who will challenge Democrat Jennifer McCormick.
