TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — You can help local postal carriers “stamp out hunger” during their food drive.
Beginning on Saturday and continuing into next week, residents in Terre Haute, and some surrounding areas, will receive special bags in their mailboxes.
The President of the Local Letter Carriers Union, Jessica Chambers explained the process.
Chambers said that those who want to participate should leave the special bags filled with non-perishable food at their mailbox on Saturday, May 11 and volunteers will come pick up those bags to distribute to the community.
