TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Alan Morrison is the incumbent Republican running for State Representative in District 42.
He says politics and government have always been passions of his.
Morrison says he is a conservative who helped pass one of the most pro-life bills in the nation in the Indiana statehouse.
He’s also stood up for gun rights and ensuring Indiana is an attractive place for businesses and employees alike.
If elected to another term, Morrison says he wants to address high property taxes and work to lower energy costs.
“Federal government and the EPA has a lot to do with that but, we can also control certain aspects of that in the state,” explains Morrison. “I sat on the Utilities and Energy Committee for 10 years. Now, as the chairman of Environmental Affairs, I can have some impact on that.”
Indiana’s Primary Election will be on Tuesday, May 7.
