TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The new Culver’s location on the southside of Terre Haute has some exciting new features that you may not see at many fast food chains.
This Culver’s location has a huge outdoor patio, a dog park in the back of the building, and solar panels.
The owner, Matt Bilyeu, said they wanted to be a little more thoughtful and sustainable and they felt like solar power was a great way to do that.
“Culver’s brand is based on supporting agriculture in our local communities and we felt like solar was a good way to kind of connect it to a little bit,” Bilyeu said. “It helps us be thoughtful and sustainable and by the way it helps us pay some of the electrical bills too.”
Additionally, Thursday is Scoops of Thanks day at Culver’s and they have a special flavor of custard called How Now Brown Cow that’s available on Thursday only.
Scoops of that special flavor are one dollar and the profits go to the local FFA.
