VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Friday, Knox County high school students got the chance to explore the medical field.
The Good Samaritan Health Care Academy allowed students to talk to medical professionals along with area colleges about the medical field. This opportunity allows students to see if they have any interest in pursuing a path in the medical feild or shows students specific areas to look into.
Good Samaritan’s director of professional practice Heidi Hinkle said this is a great way to show off all of the resources in this area.
“What better thing to do to invest in the future of Knox County so that they know that there are good paying jobs where they can put their skills, knowledge, and strengths to the test and be able to make an earning and living off of that and stay here close to home,” she said.
Hinkle also added that some of the schools in Knox County have a class that teaches about the occupations within the healthcare realm.
