TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local organization that helps to feed those in need in the community is continuing that effort but with temporary new method this month.
According to a release from Sandy Cline with the Secular Franciscans and Friends of Terre Haute, the group’s monthly free breakfasts will be available to the community via carry-out for this weekend.
This month’s breakfast will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the east parking lot shelter behind the St. Benedict Parish Center located at 9 1/2 and Walnut Streets.
“On April 27 there is a parish event inside the building,” Cline said. “On May 25 Free Breakfast service will be in the dining room.”
Cline noted that the menu for this month’s breakfast is a breakfast sandwich, pastries, fresh fruit, and juice.
The Secular Franciscans and Friends of Terre Haute reported that 102 meals were served in the month of March.
As always, the Secular Franciscans and Friends of Terre Haute invite everyone in need of a meal to come, “all are welcome.”
