KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Wednesday, WTWO got the chance to sit down with the Republican candidate running for Knox County Commissioner in District 1, Cher Wehrman.
Wehrman emphasized the importance of mental health in the area along with improving the roads and highways in the county.
She said her 20 years of experience in the Indiana Department of Transportation would help her in working with the local highway department.
Wehrman added that becoming a commissioner would also unlock partnerships on county projects.
“As a commissioner, I can help so many more people on a larger level of getting these items here,” said Wehrman. “With the teamwork of the county council, the commissioners, and city officials we can do that and attract those new industries in.”
More information on local elections will be available as election day approaches.
Election Day is on May 7.
