TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The opportunity to support Ivy Tech during the organization’s annual day of giving is here.
According to a release from Ivy Tech, this year’s annual fundraising event will start at 12:01 a.m. (ET) on Tuesday, April 23.
The college’s second Annual Day of Giving will last for 24 hours and people throughout the community including students, teachers, staff, community leaders, and donors from all backgrounds are encouraged to give to the university.
“Ivy Tech has been woven into the fabric of Indiana for more than 60 years, and nearly a million Hoosiers have completed degrees, courses, and credentials supporting successful careers and upward mobility while improving the prosperity of our state,” Dr. Sue Ellspermann, president of Ivy Tech Community College said. “If you’ve been treated at an Indiana hospital, driven a car assembled in Indiana, or have a young person who graduated high school with dual credit, you’ve likely benefitted from Ivy Tech. Ivy Tech Day is an opportunity for all Hoosiers to help us deliver ‘Higher Education at the Speed of Life’ and meet our students’ most pressing needs.”
There are multiple ways for people in the community to participate in Ivy Tech’s Annual Day of Giving including:
- Make a gift on Ivy Tech Day and participate in a matching opportunity: For every 10 unique donors who make a gift on April 23, an additional $1,000 up to $10,000 will be unlocked.
- Be one of the first 50 donors who donate $50 or more to receive a limited edition, hand-crafted Ivy Tech mug.
- Be a social ambassador and share how Ivy Tech has impacted your life and why you are a supporter.
- Visit any of their participating partner businesses on Ivy Tech Day to give back to Ivy Tech while supporting their business. Some of the community partners are offering specialty items or promo codes for orders that will donate a percentage of sales back to Ivy Tech. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in Ivy Tech Day last year and look forward to uniting again on April 23 to have an even greater impact on students’ lives,” Dr. Lea Anne Crooks, chancellor of Ivy Tech Terre Haute/Greencastle said. “Our campus is doing amazing work, and Ivy Tech has grown to be the biggest community college of its kind in the U.S. Students are receiving unique, personal instruction that prepares them for their careers, and Ivy Tech Day will help us continue making an impact in our community.”
