INDIANAPOLIS — Four of the Republican candidates for Indiana governor will participate in the election season’s first televised debate on Tuesday evening.
The one-hour debate, hosted by Nexstar Media Group, will air at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The debate will feature the candidates who polled more than 5% in the recent poll conducted by Emerson College Polling and the Hill surrounding the Republican race for governor, including:
- U.S. Senator Mike Braun (R-Ind.)
- Brad Chambers, the former Indiana Secretary of Commerce
- Suzanne Crouch, Indiana’s lieutenant governor
- Eric Doden, the former president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation
Viewers are able to watch the debate in multiple ways. For Indianapolis viewers, the debate will air live at 7 p.m. on Tuesday on FOX59/CBS4. Viewers can also watch the debate from the FOX59/CBS4 website as well as each station’s mobile application.
Stations across the state will also air the debate, including:
- Fort Wayne: 7 p.m. on WANE and online.
- Terre Haute: 7 p.m. on WAWV and online.
- Northwest Indiana: 7 p.m. online
- Evansville: 6 p.m. CST on WEHT and online
The debate will also be carried live on these partner stations:
- South Bend: 7 p.m. on WBND
- Lafayette: 7 p.m. on WLFI
- Southern Indiana: 7 p.m. on WDRB in Louisville, Kentucky.
On FOX59, a special edition of IN Focus will air at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday before the debate. IN Focus, which will air on TV and online, will serve as a debate preview, featuring interviews with candidates and what viewers need to know before the debate.
During the debate, the FOX59/CBS4 reporters, as well as individuals from Nexstar’s area news partners, will provide live coverage on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, using the hashtag #INGovDebate to provide live reactions and analysis to the debate.
After the debate, FOX59/CBS4 will stream a post-show online, featuring analysis and recaps from IN Focus panelists.
