TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Attendees of the upcoming Terre Haute Air Show this summer will get to witness one Air Force plane’s final flight in the state of Indiana.
The U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II will appear at the show as part of it’s retirement tour as the Air Force divests from the model of airplane. 2024 will be the final year of Air Force A-10C demonstrations.
A look at the A-10C Thunderbolt II

“This will be the culmination of more than 40 years of demonstrations performed by dozens
of pilots and teams at hundreds of air shows across multiple countries,” the Wing said in a
release March 20. “We encourage everyone with the opportunity to attend these remaining
shows to see the A-10C Demonstration team in action one final time.”
The team will perform in 18 shows across the country between March 23 and October 5. Included in that schedule are both the Purdue Aviation Day, and the Terre Haute Air Show.

Tickets for the June 1-2 Terre Haute Air Show are on sale now, purchase them here. Organizers warn that the ticket price will increase in June and advise attendees to purchase their admission now to avoid the higher cost.
