SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A ribbon cutting and grand opening was held on Wednesday for the Freedom Connection Recovery Center in Sullivan County.
Joyce Cox with the organization noted that the event was a moment that’s been years in the making as they had been working on opening the center, since 2021.
The facility is located at 1130 North Section Street in Sullivan. Cox said they are a non-profit organization and offer connections to resources and multiple pathways to recovery to those suffering from substance use disorder.
“The one thing we want them to know, we are a faith-based 501c3 but we will meet you where you’re at. Once we do that and find out what your desires are — what your plan is, and we’ll help walk with you through recovery,” Cox said.
Cox said right now their crisis counseling services are being funded to work from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. through the month of April.
