TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Police are investigating a death following a shooting incident at the Red Carpet Inn.
According to THPD Sgt. Justin Sears, the incident occurred at the inn located at 2150 N. 3rd Street on Friday, March 15.
The incident resulted in the death of 22-year-old Darian R. Tyler of Terre Haute. Investigators said that Tyler sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Sgt. Sears said the investigation is “open and active,” and that further information would be released as the investigation allows.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Darian Tyler, and our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time,” Sgt. Sears said. “Our priority is to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.”
