TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO-WAWV)– A foot patrol by a Vigo County Sheriffs deputy leads to the arrest of two people for various drug charges.
At approximately 12:30am today, the deputy saw a vehicle in Old Mill Dam Park, which was closed.
According to a release, after making contact with the occupants, the deputy saw what he believed to be narcotics in the vehicle.
The suspects then fled in the vehicle.
During a pursuit, stop sticks were used to stop the vehicle on Fruitridge Avenue.
The driver was transported from the scene by ambulance due to the apparent extreme intoxication and later booked into the Vigo County Jail. The female passenger was taken to the Vigo County Jail upon arrest.

Passenger: Dana Rutledge (37 years old from Terre Haute)

The following items were located as a result of the incident:
1) Methamphetamine approximate weight of 74 grams
2) Marijuana approximate weight of 124 grams
3) Counterfeit substance (K2 suspected) 81.6 grams
4) Three handguns, all loaded with additional box of ammunition
5) Scales and various other items consistent with dealing and drug use
