FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Tuesday, GE Aerospace announced it’s investing 650 million dollars in manufacturing sites and supplier partners, including $5 million at its site in Terre Haute.
According to GE Aerospace, the investment will go toward new machines, additional tools, and equipment upgrades. It also includes the building for the production of narrowbody and widebody aircraft engines.
In a news release, the site leader for GE Aerospace Terre Haute, Gerald Beuvelet said, “These investments give our team the ability to increase production of engine parts, many for our most advanced jet engines, and the investments ensure a strong future for GE Aerospace as we become an independent company.”
