TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: At least one person has been transported by helicopter to be treated for serious injuries after a multi-vehicle wreck took place Thursday morning.
According to Terre Haute Police PIO Sgt. Justin Sears, THPD officers responded to the intersection of State Road 46 and Hulman Drive around 9:15 a.m. for a motor vehicle accident with injury and entrapment.
Sears said that when law enforcement arrived, one driver involved in the crash was uninjured and another was unconscious. The unconscious driver was trapped in their vehicle and was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
Sears also said it was reported that later that the injured person had to be taken to an Indianapolis area hospital via helicopter due to the severity of their injuries.
Sears noted, “Due to sensitivity of this incident no names are being released at this time.”
A reconstruction team was also on scene to assist in the investigation of the crash.

According to Vigo County Central Dispatch, Terre Haute police and the Terre Haute Fire Department are working a crash that took place at the intersection of State Road 46 and Hulman Drive.
Dispatch noted that the call came in just before 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
