TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Local folks in the 12-Points area of Terre Haute, now have a new Mexican restaurant they can try.
The chamber held a ribbon-cutting for Mis Tres Potrillos on Wednesday afternoon located at 1290 Lafayette Avenue.
The owner of the restaurant, Rafael Fuentes, said he opened his first business in downtown Chicago at the age of 17. Since then, Fuentes has opened three Mis Tres Potrillos locations including in Olney, Illinois, and another in Newton.
Fuentes also said customers at other locations encouraged him to open a restaurant in Terre Haute.
“When I came in, looked at it, I fell in love with the building and said ‘Hey this is a good location that can often,’ and you know, I’m here,” Fuentes said. “We did a lot of work to the building we did the best we can.”
Fuentes also noted that Mis Tres Potrillos’ specialties are serving fresh food with authentic flavor as well as their signature rainbow margaritas.
The Mis Tres Portillo’s Terre Haute location hours are as follows:
- Monday – Thursday | 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday – Saturday | 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
- Sunday | 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
