TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — In an effort to learn more about Holocaust survivor Mickey Kor’s story, CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center is offering people a chance to travel to Riga, Latvia.
According to a release from CANDLES, the 2024 Mikey Kor Heritage Trip will take place this summer from June 22 through 29. The goal of the trip is to learn more about and explore locations that are central to Mickey Kor’s story and the history of Jewish citizens living in Riga.
Alex Kor, the son of Mickey and Eva Kor, will be attending the trip to share personal insight into his father’s childhood in Riga.
With only a few open spots left for the trip, CANDLES encourages those interested to register as soon as possible.
There are two weeks left to register for the 2024 Mickey Kor Heritage Trip and CANDLES is hopeful you will join them for the once-in-a-lifetime trip and educational experience.
