TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two lifelong residents of Terre Haute plan to create a new hub for Twelve Points area.
Twelve Points Public Market will be Terre Haute’s first food hall. Food halls are a locally developed start-ups for entrepreneurs and restaurateurs.
The public market will have two fully functional kitchens, five booths for local vendors, and a stage for live entertainment. This gives local vendors the opportunity to rent a space, without the big investment.
Owners plan to keep the market open most of the day in hopes of making it a focal point of activity for Twelve Points.
“We’ve noticed some public markets in like Boston and Massachusetts. And also Nashville, Milwaukee, and Indianapolis, and we thought why not bring something like that to Terre Haute,” Marti Goodwin said.
“We want it to be very comfortable with a cool vibe that people enjoy spending time in,” Pat Goodwin said.
Owners hope to have the public market opened the end of April. Those interested in renting the spaces can contact the owners at info@12pointspublicmarket.com.
