WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man who was left hospitalized following a deadly shooting incident has now been taken into custody by law enforcement.
According to the Washington Police Department, 38-year-old Abel Dubon Castillo was taken into custody on Sunday after being discharged from an Indianapolis hospital.
Police said Castillo has been charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, burglary, and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from the events of February 7, when a shooting incident in the 1800 block of McCormick Avenue left 58-year-old Aracely Torres dead and two others injured by gunfire.
Castillo is scheduled for an initial hearing in Daviess County Superior Court on Monday.
